Understanding our financial advice fees: What you need to know.

At Nest Financial Solutions, we have structured the business in a manner that allows us to provide financial advice to our clients without the large costs that can often be associated with getting advice. We aim to provide financial advice for everyday Australians rather than a service focused exclusively for the wealthier members of our community.

Financial advice costs can vary depending on the complexity and the time taken to thoroughly research the situation and implement the strategy.

There is no cost for our first meeting – it is complimentary. The purpose is for me to better understand your situation, what you are seeking to achieve and how I might be able to help. It also provides an opportunity for us to meet and determine whether we are comfortable working together both now and into the future.

Whilst there is no cost for our initial meetings, when you decide you are ready for advice and wish to formally engage our services, an initial fee of between $1,650 and $4,400 (including GST) will be determined and discussed with you before we proceed with anything. It is important that all fees are transparent, and you have time to consider everything before we begin the advice process.

Depending on your superannuation fund or investment product, we may be able to deduct our initial advice fee from your product as opposed to from your bank account. We will discuss the potential for this during our meeting.

A financial plan drawn up today may not be appropriate for you over time. Share markets are constantly moving day to day and your investments will require reviews and changes periodically to ensure that they remain in balance and appropriate for you.

Economic and legislative factors, as well as changes in your own circumstances could also have an influence over time and potentially impact the effectiveness of your financial plan.

For this reason, Nest Financial Solutions offers a very popular and competitively priced ongoing advice service. This is where we look after your finances for you, leaving you free to enjoy the things that are important to you.

This service involves paying an ongoing advice fee of $220 per month (including GST). We will meet annually for formals reviews of your situation and can also meet for additional meetings as and when they are required.

The ongoing advice service is administered under a fixed term arrangement where advice agreements are issues to cover a 12 month period with an agreed fee. These agreements are renewed every 12 months to ensure you are still comfortable and are receiving sufficient benefit under the arrangement.
